Driving with the hood popped

Driving with the hood popped
Due to the recent ridiculous heat wave across the southeast, I am really feeling the problems with heat soak. Today's high in Atlanta was 104.
Would it be any sort of dangerous while driving to pop the hood open from the inside, but still keep it latched from the outside, in order to gain a little bit more air flow?
One time I left my hood popped and i didn't even notice until I was driving 75 down the highway and it moved up and down a little. But I feel that as long as im not setting any speed records it should be okay to leave it like that?
Of course, you run the risk of someone popping your hood open and grabbing something out of your engine bay, but that's only if you leave it popped in a public place.
Thoughts??

the hood can be pop and driving fine, but however the logic doesn't work because hot air is rising and colder air is sink down the bottom. If you decide to drive it that way the air will jam that heat on top of the engine bay. This is the reason why race car has ventilated hood.

I would think that having the hood raised in the front would allow the incoming air to take the path of least resistance and flow under the hood and not be forced through the radiator, so I would leave it closed.
Many years ago we would put spacers on the rear hinges to raise the back of the hood up to allow the incoming air an easier path to exit. Used it for years, but that was on vehicles that were, let's say not a daily driver but more of a vehicle that would be driven on the street infrequently, but see the strip often.
They actually make spacers so that one can raise the rear of the hood.

I took the rubber gasket strip off the cowl; it's been 100F+ here in the Midwest for the past week. I swear my A/C is working better and have less power loss due to "heatsoak." It all could be in my head, though.

Yes. Im for realz. Just throwing it out there!
Just an idea.
Maybe the ultimate cooling mod would be best.

I don't think it would make enough of a difference to take that risk. While the latch SHOULD hold, let's face it, shit happens. How bad would you feel if it flew up and you caused an accident, killing someone? It happens.
