Got out of my TL and somehow the pocket on my shorts caught the lock post and completely pulled the "Security" LED fixture out of the door. Broke the tab off one side in the process. Now the whole thing goes up and down when the door locks and unlocks.

I've searched everywhere, but cannot find the part number for the plate that surrounds the lock post. It is not shown on the OEM Acura diagrams that I've found.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

 

wow, your scenario is exactly what happened to me. Since I couldn't find the part, I ended up putting some double sided tape on either side of the plate and its sitting perfectly flush.

i'm sure the tape was cheaper than buying that piece of plastic.

 

Good idea. At least, for the time being.
