Driveline Vibration

My '04 TL has a lot of driveline vibration when driving at lower speeds (20-45mph). I can feel it through the steering column and hear a 'whoo whoo whoo' sound as well. I thought it might be the rotors but the Acura technician went for a ride with me and said it was the tires and that the car rides differently than my previous '01 TL. I'm rather disappointed that a $35K car has these issues so early on with only 5K miles. Has this been an issue for anyone else? As well, there is a surprising amount of wind noise in this car.
