The Drip

You know what I'm talking about... the inevitable drip that comes when you use the wipers. The thing that drives me nuts it that it's right in the middle of the drivers view. Doesn't always happen at highway speeds but always happens at slow speeds... guess it's time for some VTEC to solve the problem.

at least its only a drip, when i spray my washer fluid that thing shoots out like a super soaker. covers the whole car and the fluid lands as far back as the trunk. i dunno if this is normal but now when i use it i just tap the lever very lightly to prevent it from shooting all over the place.

The black plastic nozzles can be easily aimed/adjusted. They are like a ball in a socket. Use your finger or small screwdriver to manipulate the nozzle to spray where you want. Be careful though, they are somewhat soft plastic.

I've had mine adjusted twice now at the dealer, at first I said it was shooting over, then they adjusted it and then it sprayed right into the wiper arm and got all over the place except the glass. This time it's a little higher, but still goes all over the wiper arm. I think once it gets high enough to clear the wiper, it's going to be back where it was in shooting over the windshield totally.

I like having the hidden sprayer, but sheesh.

Oh man I was just talking to someone about this last night online. All windshields have it... the problem with the TL's is that its an inch or two from the side, rather than being on the side. Doesn't really impede my view, but it is annoying. I guess I'd have to clean it either way. And yeah, the fluid launchers are crazy. "Cleans" my moonroof too

Try sitting on a pillow. You will have a much clearer view. It must be 100% cotton and white in color. I think Sal sells them on his website.

have you adjusted it so that it does not fire over the roof of my car and not hit the wiper arm?

Use it while driving 85mph , it'll work better that way.

I was just going to say this. Mine oversprays like crazy when stopped or going slow, but at highway speeds it works great.

As for the drip, our Lexus has a neat feature. When you wash the windshield the wipers do their thing. Then about 5 seconds later, the wipers go one more time and the drip is gone. Pretty slick. Wish my TL did this too. Oh well, the Lexus nav sucks...guess it's a trade off.
