Right on! I want a NavTools w/CarPlay and smartphone mirroring so bad. Navigating with Waze in landscape mode? Sign me up!

Took me 2 months and hundreds of dollars payed to CarFax until I found my 05 Black/Black w/Navi having 5 pages of CarFax dealer maintenance @136k miles. I passed on many super duper crazy clean TLs w/o Navi because I know I would regret it. So many posts about people asking how to convert their non-Navi to Navi. And unfortunately it’s not cheap even if you source parts from a junkyard. Not to mention the intensive labor. But I totally get people who don’t care about the Navi in a TL. Utility vs. Novelty. And yes, I’m a Video Editor/Visual Effects Specialist so I appreciate outdated UIs of all resolutions and depths
At the end of the day all that matters is we get whatever works for us!

Side note, you're a brave soul for wanting a black car. My Z was black and I'm so OCD about keeping my cars clean and pollen season made me want to cry.....literally That car only saw good weather too, I'd probably go crazy having a black car in the winter. I loved how it looked when all cleaned up though....for the 3seconds it stayed clean. I swore off black cars after that haha.

My OCD has been crushed by TL. I use all these Quick detailers, waxes for black cars and microfiber clothes regularly. and like you said, literally 5 seconds later, there’s a thin layer of visible dust. I learnt to say “meh”. Thin layer of dust doesn’t show unless you peak closely. Otherwise all other people see is a clean beautiful black beauty.

If you're able to find a TL-S that fits within your budget, you won't regret it at all.

Remember that these cars are basically built to last as long as you (or the previous owner) has been taking care of it.

Regardless of whether you decide to pick up a base model or a Type-S, if the mileage is hovering around 105k, find out if it's been serviced. If the 105k service hasn't been done yet, you'll be spending a little extra money on the car.

Good luck on your search!

I prefer my phone for Nav too but the display in the car makes it nicer looking and I do like to look at the map time to time on the car without messing with the phone while driving.
plus the rear view camera needs a screen too! It's one of the largest screens even by today's standards. And the camera quality is excellent.
