Question Dreaded Bird Droppings

Hey all, been awhile. I recently purchased a second vehicle, a used 2001 Lexus RX300. It's for my fiancee, so I no longer have to feel guilty for solely driving my TL.

Question is, when your recently washed car receives unwanted bird droppings, what should you do to remove them without rewashing your whole vehicle? Is there a way to easily remove it without damaging your paint once it becomes dry?

I keep a small plastic vinigar jug of water in the trunk along with a couple m/f towels.

Wet the towel and let the wet towel soak the dropping then gently wipe it up .. follow it with a QD spray and another towel.

Never let it set any longer than you have to... some droppings can be very acidic and will etch the clear coat.

I keep a small spray bottle of water in my trunk. I spray the droppings and then wipe it off. The key is not to leave the stuff on your car it'll etch the paint.

One thing I discovered the hard way, a week ago is to not just spray some water on and wipe the bird dropping off with a paper towell. In some of the bird droping on my hood, was small debris that scratched the hood of my NBP. I guess it was very small grit/sand that birds pick on the ground. In the future I'll always get a hose and spray from the side until the bird dropping is gone. Never again will I wipe it off with a paper towell. This weekend I'll try to carefully rub it out. So bottom line be very careful removing bird droppings.

A bottle of detailer and a microfiber towel works well for me. Clean it asap. Clean the area around the droppings as well, no need to rewash the car, unless the car is absolutely covered in droppings.

I just shoot the birds...the freaking blackbirds are the smartest....they sense when I've got a gun and get near a window....damm those critters...it's me against them. Bird lovers post elsewhere....I feed the cool birds...it's just the bombers I have a problem with.

I hate it when those flying bastards drop a wet one on your car shortly after it has been washed. Funny story is I was driving home from work and heard the "clunk" on my hood. I initially thought it was either a pebble from the road or something that fell from the trees. When I got home I noticed the nice aim the damn bird had, dead center on my hood.
