Door Panel Pocket Problem

I have an 05 TL. The panel for the door pocket (corner) on the driver side constantly catches my pant leg (suits are part of the uniform) when I exit the car and have pulled away and possibly broke the panel. I don't know whether others have this problem or whether anyone has attempted a fix for this type of problem. Any thoughts on what to do so that the panel does not look broken or hangs there looking crappy? Seems like this is a design flaw to me, however I am looking for a solution. Thanks in advance.

The door pocket panel rattles for me. So I used silicone sealant and glued it shut.

I know it's kinda extreme but rattles drives me crazy!!

I will be glueing the passenger side this weekend.

Did you ever figure out what part was rattling? I have the opposite problem: it rattles when it's closed but stops if I keep it open!

I think it's the mechanical part that keep the flap in place when you close the door but I am not 100% sure.

I just took mine in to get the passenger side fixed. It rattled when closed as well.
