Don't get into a fender bender...
no, not a story about my accident. read this interesting piece on msn this morning: fender bender
we came in close second as having the highest repair bill, behind the G35. TSX chimes in too down the list.

it got into a fender bender a few weeks back, the guy was probably goin under 3mph so there was no structural damage but the paint cracked underneath the clear coat. total repair estimate $515 for the rear bumper and rear body kit. again there is no structural damage. thats pretty expensive.

Cars can be fixed, more importantly the TL is in the top 2% of all cars tested in passanger safety.
One of the reasons for this is that the car is designed to crumple to absorb the impact and protect the passenger compartment.
I don't know about you, but if it is a choice between me and my car, I would like to be the one to survive.

2nd, the article was about bumper-to-bumper impacts at 3 MPH and 6 MPH. How much "crumple" are you willing to accept if someone bumps your TL's bumper while backing out of a parking space. I'd guess some where close to zero.

And what is this rule? It wasn't in the forum users instruction packet I got (the AcuraZine License Plate Bracket was a nice touch though).

The TL is expensive to repair and therefore I pay about $200 more each year and I think it's worth every penny!

you gotta show this to offset the high repair bill..i would rather pay a lot of money to fix my car than not be as safe as the TL is ranked
