Does your steering column click when turning with the turn signals on?

I'm in an '05 5AT... For some reason, I can't remember my steering column doing this before.. That is, now it clicks when I make turns (say 60 degrees or more) with the turn signal on. When the turn signal is not on, there is no clicking while turning.

That said, clearly this has to do with the turn signal baton (for the lack of a better word), but I'm not sure what exactly is causing it...

Any ideas?

Every Honda or Acura I've owned has done this.

Hrm... So while I'm in the midst of turning (say, for example, I'm making a U turn), there will be probably 3 clicks turning in the same direction, and then 3 clicks when the wheel turns back after completing the turn...

Anyone else? Just want to make sure this is normal...

Hrm... I guess I was insensitive to this before... Ears are obviously a bit more perked now...

the reason for the clicking is so the turn signal turns off by itself when the turn is completed all cars past the 60s have this feature
if you notice after you turn the wheel in the same direction as your blinker and it clicks, when you turn the wheel the other way the blinker will turn off by itself
its a racheting system built into the clockspring
its normal
