Talking Does the A-spec body kit come free w/ type-s?

I remember seeing in a thread a member stating that the a-spec body comes installed from the factory? Is this true or maybe the statement was not correct. I have tried searching but to no avail. Thanks guys.

Nope, I clearly remember the member stating that the a-spec body kit came installed from the factory, but the dealer was asking for extra. Anyone else please chime in. Thanks

That sounds pretty accurate to me. Some dealers will put it on themselves and then try and rape the customer. If the dealer was charging extra for the A-spec kit then it wasn't free.....

I am pretty sure if you were to buy a type s with the optional (key word optional) lip kit they will add anywhere from 1500-2000 to the ticket price

Go to Acura.com

Build you TL-S...

Then add the "Accessory" lip spoilers... key word there. Sure they come from the dealer with them, but they considered an accessory, and the consumer pays for them somehow.

All 6 pieces of the underbody trim on Type S have more curve than the regular TL. front bumper, 4 pieces of side skirt, and the rear bumper have more definition but not as drastic as the A-Spec. under spoiler

What about suspension components.

Are there any "A-Spec" suspension parts for the TL-S? If so, what are they?

Contact Tim at hondaacuraworld to get a price on a kit. If you round up enough people, maybe you can get a group buy going.

Yes, you can install it yourself: https://hondacuraworld.hostasaurus.c...structions/tl/

Dealer install thread: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...ighlight=Aspec

You can find alot of info by doing a search and/or looking at the 3G Garage.

Pretty cool video: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...ighlight=Aspec

Was anyone able to install A-SPEC sport suspention by himself? I'm just curious if it's a good idea to do it without a dealer

Thanks

They are 100% incorrect. There are no Acuras that come from the factory accessorized. All A-Spec kits are a dealer installed option regardless of whether it is a RL, a TSX, a TL or a TL type S.

It is a factory accessory meaning that it an actual Acura product and if it is purchased with with vehicle, all components are covered by your 4/50,000 warranty.

What if A-SPEC is purchased after vehicle was purchased, will it be covered by the warranty?

They are considered an accessory because the dealer installs them. ACURAS DO NOT COME FROM THE FACTORY WITH THE A-SPEC INSTALLED.

The consumer pays for them because he(she) had the DEALER INSTALL them on the car.
