does spare have tire pressure sensor?
Last Wednesday boston got like 3" of rain. Hit a huge pothole on rte 93 in Medford - destroyed my tire and wheel (07 TLs). Cost me almost $700 to fix
Anyway, I couldn't figure out if the spare tire had a tire pressure sensor. Most of the time it said zero, sometimes it said error, once it said 59 (which would make sense with the temp. spare).
Tech said I also had to replace the sensor, which may have been why it said error sometimes. Is the sensor in the wheel, or with the brake assembly and does the spare have a sensor?
LOL, the spare is an alloy wheel, but doesn't match the rest of the wheels. What's the point?

No, the spare is a 60 psi doughnut.
TPMS is TWO sensors, 1 in the wheel (measure and send) and 1 in the car (receive/display).
The spare does not have a sensor, so an error message would be an appropriate diagnosis from the receive unit.
Also, ALL your TMPS sensors show 59 psi for a moment after start up.

After you replace the flat tire, the
low tire pressure indicator stays on.
This is normal; the system is not
monitoring the spare tire pressure.
Manually check the spare tire
pressure to be sure it is correct.

It is more hope that my constantly posting the Owner Manual link- that some people will read theirs, and stop asking the basic stuff thats contained in the book.
Acura went to a lot of trouble to write about all the systems- especially the newer cars and traction control wierdness etc. ---
the least we can do is to read them and understand the car better. I post acuras phone number too- and the owner login link- in hopes that all will use the system to their advantage.
Maybe then we wont see- how do I find my radio code??- post anymore, all ziners will register theirs on their acura.com account

I 'm pretty anal about the owners manual.....more so with my '07 TL-S.
Some of the many features that you have, you may never know about without reading the manual. And I don't know how you could even USE the Nav. system without reading it.
