Nahhh i think valentine's is wayyyyyy overrated. Just look at it this way, instead of spending money on her u got that much more money to spend in your car.

 

I get more girls lookin in my 68 Camaro. When im in my TL-S its like i dont exist. Its funny cuz my Camaro is like the exact opposite of my TL in every way possible.

 

Yeah, its a bad ass muscle car. Totally different category, and one that draws a ton more attention.

 

This is exactly what I mean when I said "the women I'm dating now" They are very impressed that I drive a comfortable, yet still sporty car. They don't like me for the car, they like being in the car with ME knowing I'm not some little street racing punk with a Civic. lol

 

From personal experience, my TL... despite all of the bird shit and dirt from the road covering it attracts not just any girl... just the ones that are tuners and big into cars. Several days ago, I ended up running into a chick driving a GSR. She was intrigued to see a modded sedan let alone the gorgeous driver himself :rollseyes:. lol

But usually, the typical girl I run into admires the work I put into the car rather than talking to me because I have a nice car to begin with... make sense?

 

If the TL had a webcam built in it, i'd have my own backseat porn site! Its not even funny how much room there is once both front seats are rolled all the way up! (memory 2 setting!!!)

Well I don't use my car to attract women, it's all in your confidence guys. I never tell a girl what I drive and suprise her when I go to pick her up.

 

Well when I was 18 / 19 with my '00 Saber Type-S, I had loads of younger (16 - 18) chicks trying to holla at me. The car was pretty tight though, Black on Black, 5% tints all around, Navi .... Now, living in Miami where everyone, their mother, and their 16 y/o brother drive a BMW 325 or a Merc C230, my TSX goes basically unnoticed! Oh well, I got a girl so, no skin off my back (although, she lives back home where my C230 is ... correlation? I think not !

Most women appreciate the interior much more, but as a rule, a woman who likes you b/c of your car isn't up to the Acura quality we all demand.

 

The average female may recognize a BMW, Lexus, or Mercedes as a luxury marquee. Most the chicks I know, think I have a nice car but most ask what kind of car it is. If it's not one of the 3 above mentioned models, the TL is just like any anonymous nice car like a maxima, avalon, or infiniti. I definitely think it's a plus, in addition to other things, to have a nice car to females and there is no real difference between a TL compared to a BMW/MB/Lexus unless the chick is a chicken head.

I agree our TL's suck. Girls in the parking lot at my school don't recognize Acura. I agree that older more classier women do though. Maybe i should go for them, maybe they can make the payments while i drive them.

In this area a TL is just another decent sedan. Mercs and BMWs are a dime a dozen. My XJ-S convertible was way more efficient at attracting women - I used to have an indoor parking space near the elevators at my old office. The ground floor of the building had a popular after-work bar / meat market. I was amazed at the number of women who would leave a note or their card tucked under the wipers. Of course, I figured my medical insurance probably wouldn't cover anything I'd catch from a woman who made it a practice of leaving her number on a stanger's car. I'm positive it wouldn't cover the damage my wife would inflict.

As nice as the XJ-S was, it was nothing compared to my V-12 E-Type. Women would just walk up and beg for a ride in it.

Happily, my wife isn't so shallow. As far as she's concerned any car that has four good tires and runs is a great car.

 

You know theres an old expression about the TL and it goes something like this;

"Goes 0-60 in 6.5 seconds, drops the girls panties in 5."

I dunno so much about the ladies, but I find the guys I bring back to my car are always fairly impressed. Well, with me then the car, of course.

the car shouldn't matter, but in some cases where you're meeting some fine ladies and they just happen to be driving a lower acura model, especially a TSX which shows they have some taste, isn't a badge whore but couldn't front the extra cost or didn't want the additional room of the TL - done deal.

this is exactly why i started a thread a while ago saying that an average TL driver is old....then all of a sudden the 30+ and 40+ group started jumping in defending their youthness, the fact is most of those guys don't have the mentality as mine like below

1. chicks digging me for my car? big deal. im not looking for a wife or gf now.

2. the chick is a gold digger? big deal. spending $ on dates and making sure we are both having fun is a priority to me. if i cant afford it i should not be dating, not like i will be setting my account beneficiary to her or paying for her living expense

3. its all about having fun and enjoying life

 

Yeah, the best is finding a restaurant, and then sending the number through the bluetooth. That always impresses them.

But really, the girls should be impressed that you were smart enough to buy an Acura.

 

Mine doesn't work anymore at picking up women since I removed the emblems.

haha x2!!!! I'm 18 and this is my second car (first was an 06 Audi A3, totalled now) chicks love this car, but its so funny how many you can get with just a car. Im used to having girls and stuff, but with this car i dont even have to approach them, they just come to me. Like Jimmyl729 said so who cares.

I haven't had one chick get in my ride and say "oh my gosh this is suuch a nice car" but like some other people have said, i don't think its the car, its mostly who's driving it!

I've found it to be a definite plus when on dates, etc. Then again, women aren't who I'm after either.

I've gotten all sorts of reactions from people when I tell them what I drive... they range anywhere from people almost shitting themselves to being totally clueless... I haven't really tried to use it to pick up chicks, tho, since I kinda have to fix up my messed up front bumper and haven't been able to pay to make any progress with that until recently ... Once I do that and tint the windows and keep my baby clean, I'll bet I'll get a couple more looks, but I don't go tryin to pick anyone up with just my car... the reaction I love the most is after classes when people see me drivin off and I get the reaction because I don't advertise what I drive unless the conversation moves to cars I love it!

 

I don't understand my cl-s has been a big chick repeller. When I had my celica all the girls were like this car is "cute." I had all sorts of girls in that basic crap wagon.

I got the CL-S and all the girls were like scared of how fast it was. They grab the dash and stuff like we're going to wreck or something. People started hating on me like where'd you get such a nice car?!? People would talk crap like I was rich or had connections. I get a lot more respect from guys like . The longer I keep this thing like the worse things get. I can't find any single women. lost my job. can't find a new one. This thing is like a an all male super bowl party chick repeller.

 

When you do get another job, dump the CL and buy a TL, chicks like TLs, especially the interior.

 

It's funny how different cars get different reactions from the opposite sex.

I myself drove a 2000 Phoenix Yellow Integra Type R with a K20A swap before my TL and as others have said I attracted jail bait who loved my car.

Now I have noticed in my TL that 25-35yr old women look at me more when I am rolling around. It probably has less to do with the car than it does with their perception of you having money.
