umm.. $250 is not a bad price considering what has to be done to remove the rear strut/springs.

The entire rear seat needs to be removed to gain access to the top bolt for the rear suspension.

I paid $150. Removing the back seat is easy... you can do it in advance before getting the car lowered.

Yeah there are many reputable shops that will do it for $150 to $200 which is a reasonable rate. Im sure someone on this board will be willing to help, I know I would if I didnt have to study for my boards right now. I wouldnt even ask for any money.

250 to install springs is a steal. I would gladly pay that then have to spend hours doing it yourself. What is your time worth? If you have never done this before, plan on a 4-6 hour day.

im in yonkers, i wasnt looking to pay anymore than $200. i would attempt to do it myself, but my only concern is that i dont have a spring compressor , other than that i think i can manage myselfg. but id rather have a pro do it. if anyone knows a shop for a reasonable price, shot me a pm with the name, thanks

I also like for a pro to do it, just in case there is a strip of the bolt that holds the arm, I've done that beforein my 00TL, and it wasn't fun. You don't want that shit to come lose when you hit a large enough bump....

I paid $150 to a shop locally... I guess the main worry I would have is the removal and the reinstallation of the rear seat, as they can easily scratch the plastic.. Since you are in Yonkers, you are def better of with Tripnbeats, you can't mess with his talent and dedication.

Trip, you can paypal me my comission, lol

you can rent spring compressors from autozone. that's what i did when i did my install. of course, make sure you get the strut style, as there will be two spring compressors.

can't help you with any shops though

I also think $250 is fair, it's the going price.

I just did my car last week and trust me, if it were me, I wouldn't charge someone less than $500 to do that much work!!
