Does anyone have a SSM A-SPEC???

I am heading down that path, but am concerned about the darker wheels on the SSM car. What do you guys think about that color combination. It's the only thing making me stop and think!

this is peteruber's car. i am on the fence about the color of the wheels as well. when i first got the car i was sure i was going to get the a-spec wheels but after some more thinking i decided against it. probably will go with an aftermarket set that is lighter.

Peteruber's car is very nice, but I think the 18" wheels look much better on other colors (especially red, black or anthracite).

I agree, the Aspec wheels arent that great looking. I have a full body kit on my car, but stuck with the 17's because they look way better than the Aspec wheels. I would just get the Aspec package and tell them to reduce the price and keep the 17inch wheels instead...

I second that. See my pictures.
There is a SSM ASPEC IN Wayne, NJ. It looks horrible with those dark wheels.
If you want it, get a different color, preferably black or antracite.
I wanted silver so I I just added some upgrades.
Not sure I will change the wheels. I wish they were 18s.

Can you still get the suspension package and brakes even though you keep the 17" wheels??

At first you couldn't, but now you can. I remember them being high priced.
As for the breaks, it's just better pads. When mine go, I will request the better ones. (FOR AT ONLY). I believe I read the Manuals have brembos to begin with, but not sure.

Yes you can! You can buy all Aspec items seperately. The rims are the only bad thing about the Aspec package

My ears are burning!

Anyways... just a quick response to the SSM not looking good w/ the A-spec rims... I thought that at first .. but the pics do not do it justice. Also, those pics were shot while my rims were very very dirty, it makes the ordinarily high-gloss finish on the rims look very flat. Once the wheels are shined up, and the car is too, it looks very nice w/ the gunmetal. But of course, it's all up to you.

Some argue that anthracite would look good w/ the A-spec rims, and i think that would look just hideous .. too much of one color.

I agree, your pictures look great!, I am just if my SSM would still also look good if I did everything but the wheels and tires...what do you think? I kind of like the OEM wheels that came with the car, they're not too bad.

It's just my opinion.

Nice. What did you have done to your car? Can you give me the details and rough cost?

Most of it was incorporated in the lease.
The A_SPEC spoilers and drunk lid spoiler in the back.
The springs, I paid cash for them, because they wer not available when I got the car.
I think they were 200 and 150 install.

I have an SSM with the bodykit and the A-Spec 18"s. They look GREAT. I too was on the fence until I saw an SSM A-Spec in the showroom. PeterUbers is right about them looking good if you keep them cleaned up.

BTW, I would recommend have the dealer upgrade from the Yokahamas. I had Goodyear Eagle F1's and they are like having your wheels glued to the road.

I too have a SSM with the A-Spec body kit and went to a 19" gunmetal wheel with polished lip. I get tons of compliments on that combo. IMO it looks far better than the stock silver wheels.

I agree with you guys that the SSM with the bodykit and A-Spec wheels look good, IMO, much better than the 17's. It's merely a matter of opinion, some like 'em, some don't.
