i noticed that i slide on turns lol my whole body shifts left to right or right to left in turns... i wish the seats would hug my body a lil better. but then again im a small guy, 5"3' 115 lbs just feels weird i think its the leather, in my accord with cloth seats it didnt happen...

happens to anyone else? its not really a problem more like a minor inconvenience.

Being that small is going to be an issue, you can try changing to a 5 point restraint system or maybe put on some good seat covers, although that defeats the purpose of the leather...

Yup same here, you get comfort with leather seats but sliding is also included. We don't have those leather seats like the expensive MB's that actually hugs you when you turn.

You didn't say if you have the AT or 6 spd. Either way, have you upgraded the rear sway bar? I had the same problem before I upgraded mine and doing so significantly reduced the body roll. Might help. As I've said before, if you don't plan on doing any modifications to the TL at all you might want to reconsider when it comes to the RSB.

You do wear your seatbelt right? If you do then the only thing i can think of is the size of your body which would cause that.

Cover or inserts?

You can get a Wet Okole seat cover (neoprene wet-suit material, with SRS cut-outs) to increase friction, or have an upholstery shop change the contact surfaces to suede inserts.

Good luck on the seat man! I know you'll find a way to deal with it since it took you a lot to get this car in the first place right! Stay cool! Good to have ya!

WARNING about conditioning the leather
if you slide right now, be very careful about conditioning the leather as it will make it worse for a while.

personally i like sliding on the leather as it makes it much easier to get in & out.

I HATE rental cars with cloth seats while traveling for work. being 6'5" you have to slide your right knee under the steering wheel as you get into cars. with pants on & cloth seats your pants drag on the cloth real bad. (it is VERY annoying)

You can take the car to a custom shop and have padded inserts put into the sides under the leather to fit you better.

yea thanks, im sure there are many solutions to this mild annoyance but as long as it doesnt affect my driving it will stay that way, i didnt pay so much for leather to put a cloth seat cover, i was just posting because it was a bit annoying to me, and yea my friend is 6'6 and he looks extremely funny in his integra sorta the opposite of me in the TL.

I slide also. It's the leather seat. I'm 5'07" 152 lbs. I have the A-Spec suspension/Comptech sway bar and the car corners well. When I take a swift corner, I go sliding in my seat . Dang it!! It just spoils the sporty feel. Sometimes I wish I had my old Recaro seat.

Loosen your hips so you'll flex at the waist and the "mass"...ahem....of your torso doesn't make you slide.

yea if i could i would have gotton the s2k instead of the TL but i cant drive 5 speed because i only have use of 1 leg so i gas/break with my left foot and steer with my left arm, needed an AT.

I'm 6' 2" ~160lbs. When I drive my Dad's 3rd gen, I don't "slide" around, but it isn't as snug as other cars I've rode in. I personally like seats that wrap around your lower body. Best seats I've sat in are factory leather Recaro's in a Mitsu EVO. (Not heated or powered, but sooo snug and very comfy.)

Just be glad you don't have a 2nd gen. They are much much worse.

Me Too!
I am 5'1" and 110lbs. I am always sliding, but the only thing that helps me is when I make a right turn, my right arm/elbow kind of holds onto the outside of the lumbar area of the the chair. You know when you look at the chair you will notice that the side of the lower part the chair curves toward the front of the car. So I kind of brace myself there. FYI

I do slide in my seats but not much....better side bolsters would have helped a lot while taking fast corners
