I Found the source of this problem and i did a cheap fix and wrapped it with aluminum tape which i think cause my transmission to over heat and slip..So now i have no idea the name of this part or what it does ...could someone plz help me out ?

It looks like an exhaust flex joint.

its a flexible joint where you J-Pipe meets your catalytic converter, im not sure if it can be repaired or if the whole J-Pipe will need to be replaced.

Are you lowered? or do you have tons of miles?

that's not the flexpipe. that's just the mesh that goes around the flexpipe. it likely came off for a reason, but that's just the outer coating to it. not having it won't cause any problem, but there's probably another issue.

it also wouldn't cause your trans. to overheat.

j-pipes run around $400 for aftermarket (Rv6, ATLP, XLR8, etc)

I have my stock j-pipe still I think, send me a PM if you decide you want to go with a stock one.
