I'm in between the all reds (which I have) and the 07/08 base it's hard to decide.

 

Well I did have a pair of 07-08 base tails......

but some one took them from me.......

 

The only DEPOs i could find on ebay were around $150 a pair. The ones in the $115 range are listed as "aftermarket replacements" rather than DEPOs. I'm hoping he can provide a link to the ebay seller.

 

I like all 3, but some look better on different colors.

Ex: I dont like TypeS on AM.

 

Depends on the weather of the day.

 

I wish I could find you a link. IIRC, I paid about $130 with shipping. This was over a year ago so you may not be able to find the same seller unfortunately.

Obviously it's all a matter of opinion -- I go back and forth on which looks better. I think a lot has to do with the color of the car itself, in the end I'm happy with the solid red against the Anthracite Metallic.

 

what if it's a White TL....??? which one do you guys think look better?? gosh this is so hard to decide.......

 

I think both the all red and red/white look great on wdp, but my personal preference is the 07-08 base tails.

 

i ruined my 07/08 tails trying to repaint the red chrome inside the tail light. i went with the type s and it looks wayyyy better on my morrocan red pearl. the red chrome looked tacky next to the red paint

 

sounds like idea....it's a cheap mod since i can get them $40/each

 

the reason i dont put the type-s into my consideration is that i dont want other to think I am one of those guys with Type-S badge while driving a base...or so called a type-s wannabe...(no offense..i am not saying anyone here is.....this is based on personal preference, yes the type-s looks awesome as hell but I always remember that I don't own a type-s)

 

I really think it depends on the colour of the car and what colour theme your trying to pull off

 

^^Agreed. After changing my rear sidemarkers to the type S ones, I couldn't stand my bright red tails. So I took the quick ,easy and cheap route, and rockblocker'd em. Now I'm up in the air on switching them out.
Wasn't a fan of the type S ones, but now there growing on me. I like the 07-08 base ones, but not really the pink inside.

I prefer the 07-08 base look mashed up with the Type-S style, especially on WDP.

 

That's win. It eliminates that pink part I mentioned. Those look great on your car.

 

In general I think the 07-08 base tails give the TL a fresher, sportier look over the 04-06. But I actually prefer the Type-S tails.

 

def not the 05 tailights. pure red is sooooo boring. 07-08 tail lights make the car look more $$$ cuz of the detail and quality. and i like how the 07-08 tail lights look pink since there is no red glass on the tailight.

 

i think the type s compliment the cbp realli well. 07-08 tailights would be too much contrast IMO

I think RRP looks the best with 04-06 tails It looks like you tinted yours too.

Its all a matter of opinion, and I think the 07-08 base tails look more classy however I love my 04 all red tails for the fact that no matter what the light looks red, I hate that in the day time I see an 07-08 and the brake lights look pink to me that is not pretty.

 

I think the 04-06 tail lights are fine, and I might go as far to say that I like the 04-06 wheels more than the 07-08. The big deal for me was the front bumper and fog lights. The 04-06 just looks incomplete to me.

 

Those look really nice! but I plan to swap them out and put the 07/08 base tail lights and switch the rear sidemarkers to type s ones, than get the Aspec body kit.

 

what do you guys think looks the best on a blacked out TL (NBP) ...currently have the 04-06 but feeling I could do better with another pair of tails.

As mentioned its all personal opinion, but IMO yes the 07/08 tails are hands down better looking than the older ones. When I see the all red ones I think old. Also, the Type S tails are better as well. 07-08 FTW

 

clearly, these are the best. 07-08 base tails blacked out w/ red tint over turn signal area and carbon fiber inserts.

 

I think the 07-08 looks the best, but you can't really go wrong with any of them.
