do ppl stare at ur car??
how many people have caught ppl just staring at their tl? i went outside today and some guy walkin by my house was just standing there and looking at my car....he saw me and told me u have a really nice car

WDP and NBP TLs get the most looks!!!

That is the thing ... we drive TLs but you don't really get a chance to see how good the styling is until you see another 3G TL on the road...
I don't get too many looks....atleast i do not think so...once I caught a young mom staring at my car though. =)
Also, I think our cars get more looks at night... Because the headlamps look good, the rear lights look good but what gives our rides the edge are the 4 side markers we have... Even better on the 07 as they have the side mirror blinkers.
Can you imagine what the 4G TL will look like? daaaamn

Haha! Yeah, for real, but I know they are just looking at me! 
But my car gets a lot of looks. Especially if I go to the dealerships! The sales guys and porters always check it out and give me props! I always tell 'em "You know the product!" But at traffic signals and on highways is where I see it the most, and the mall of course! I always see a lot of people trying to figure out my tag as well! LOL!
Funniest episode of the car getting jocked is when a cop pulled me over for speeding and was admiring my car/mods! He still wrote the ticket though!
It's fun to have a well liked car! (except by the bad guy of course!) :thief:

TL-S...some ppl look...IMO no one really cares enough to really stare in aww
but its the SL500 thats the true showstopper, everywhere I go people stare especially when putting the top up/down at a light...it happens so often that i just try to ignore it

Yeah, I get looks all of the time . . . especially from those in stock TLs. I was coming back from lunch one time with my co-workers and this chick in a G35 coupe was checking out my car. I didn't realize it until my co-workers had informed me.

lol when i first bought my wdp in 05...i came to a light...and some old lady had another wdp....she started waving at me VIGORously....lol it was one of those "you had to be there" moments....but now...in 2k7....every where i look i see a TL.....Time to switch to the TL-s

As for people staring at the car and what not, I'm ostentacious!...who do you think I did the mods for? The people! I can't see the shit while I'm driving! It's for them!

This thread reminds me of an incident that happened a few months back.
I met up with another member to help him install Dom's unit, mediagate, and backup camera. The whole time we were working on his car, my car was parked across the street in front of a neighbor's house.
After a few hours passed, the neighbor approached us and asked whose white car was parked in front of her house. I told her it was mine. She then told us that her teenage son has been eyeing the car all day and really wants her to get that car for him when he starts to drive. She then started asking all sorts of questions about it: make, model, price, etc...
My car was pretty much stock at the time (no body kit, no spoiler, just cleared headlights and I still had the body side moldings).
Here is what got me: she lives directly across the street from a AM TL. It took a WDP TL and a
son to bring her over to ask questions. I felt really good that day. 
I get a few lookers at lights and turns here and there. I will stare at another TL if I see it. Its one fine looking car.

haha.. the funniest thing happened to me 2-3 weeks ago at a weekly car meet in the bay area(Milpitas)... So I pull up and park my car and we all step out of the car and then preceed to go check out the other cars... All of a sudden, i see this old man with yellow sporty looking shoes and his wife, checking out my car.. They were looking inside the window and looked pretty interested in it... (car was all stock btw, besides CAI).. i was just laughing at him because there were so many nice cars out there, modded and clean.. and he goes to check out mine...
20 minutes later past by and the next thing you know, i see him step inside of his FERRARI F430
....... the shoes he was wearing was made by ferrari i think..
now the only thing that went through my head over and over again was... *WHY DIDN'T I TALK TO HIM?!?!?!?!?!*
anywho... i felt really good after that.. it's like.. wow.. how often does a ferrari owner check out your car?? it's usually the other way around.. ups to acura for the beautiful TL... and uhh yess... i've had compliments about the nice ass of my TL by other people and i do agree... impressed? VERY.

I probably look more than I get looked at. Mainly if I see a WDP or another NBP. Seems here in this area these are pretty rare. Satin Silver and mostly Anthracite are a dime a dozen, see them all the time. I have yet to see any one modded except for mine (which are minor 'factory' mods).
One thing I HAVE noticed is just about 100% of the TL's I see around here are always CLEAN. Just goes to show that people respect a beautiful car and keep it clean.

Since I have a 2G TL im normally the one looking at the 3G TL. Whenever I see one on the road I try to wave and chear for them but sometimes it just scares the people. My favorite look I ever got was another kid in a 2G TL gave me that yeah your car in the shit look one time. Althoguh I have to say this one time I was at a stoplight and a 3G pulled up next to me and I got that psh my car is better then yours I wish there was a look for thanks for rubbing it in asshole. However if I see an 07 TL then I will diffenently go out of my way to see if its a Type S or not.

I remember once there was a day that i washed my car.
that evening as i approached a redlight, it was a fairly busy street that night..i was in the left lane and then a cop car to my right stars eyeing it. we made eye contact for a split second...cause his lane had less traffic...
so he is still behind me after 2 left turns.... just as i'm waiting to do my 2nd left turn on the 2nd street, he purposely pulls into the left lane...that is when i knew i wsa getting pulled over...i didn't even need to wait for him to turn on his lights, i just made the left, got into right and put on emergency lights and stopped...
then he goes: "sir, is this your car?" he thought i stole it.

The other day I was picking up my gf's little brother from school (gf ridin shotgun) and this chick in a bimmer - beautiful blonde in a silver biimer was riding next to me. i didnt realize until my gf sarcasticlly said "what are you lookin at b*tch?" lol then i noticed.
when i looked at her she smiled. she was maybe my age ridin in daddys car - but hot non-the-less (yeah yeah ... i know i gotta gf - but hey, you can look at the menu, you just cant order anything )
anyway she looked at me n smiled and we pulled to a light. she was two lanes over but made it a point to move into the next one on my left. at the light i was trying not to smile as my gf was steamin... and her little brother was just crackin up. i couldnt resist so i looked at her and put it in nuetral and revved it a couple times just keepin eye contact with her... i could feel the heat from my gfs eyes on the back of my head. out of the corner of my eye i saw the light turned green. she was lookin at me and just for show i blew her a kiss and took off haha.
it was priceless... my gf didnt talk to me for an hour after that

Of course living in Miami you don't get that many people staring at it (until they sit inside and then they go nuts). Sadly, the only time I had people gawking at my car is when the front bumper was crashed in... (sigh)

Ive gotten pulled over once too and the cop asked me if it was mine haha.. i guess thats what happens when ur 18 with a nice car.. anyways.. when my NBP is clean and shiny i get sooo many looks, and also allottaa "fcukin rich kids and their parents" looks... Anytime i see a TL i always give a stare just to see if they notice me, and to see if theyre on AZ lol
