Do newer TL's have the rattles that we do?

has anyone gotten a newer TL loaner or can compare this to other cars they have had? i love this cars seats, interior, reliability, and overall drive, but the rattles are worse than any car i have had, and this alone might steer me away from acura if it hasnt been improved on over the years.

They do rattle, but if you follow some of the recommendations in the 3G garage, you can eliminate most, if not all of them. Mine is at 94K miles and silent in terms of rattle, but it took some effort to get it that way.

I know what you mean and agree. I had a 2005 Accord and it was completely silent. I've driven other, newer Acuras and they are fine. However, they're loaners and still pretty new.

Holy shit, I thought I was the only one. I just got all new tires and the thing still rattles; doesn't make any sense to me. My dad's old 92' Camry was much smoother than mine 05' TL.

Mine don't have rattles. The 4G is a much tighter car. In another league. If you have rattles in the 3G as was stated go to the 3G garage and hunt them down.

Every TL I have owned (07 and 08 models) have been pretty tight cars with no significant rattles with one exception....the rear deck lid tray. Every single one of them has had a rattle from the subwoofer. It's an easy fix that requires nothing more than some sort of cloth material jammed between the center of the deck lid and the rear window. You push it far in with a flat head screw driver and the problem is fixed with no visible signs of that material. This method has not failed me even in cold winter temps where things are even more brittle. Beside that they have been solid cars.
As for the 4G, I haven't owned one, but have had a couple as loaners and like stated above, they are tight cars. I noticed no interior noises, but that's to be expected. They are newer designed cars and simply put, newer. If it wasn't for that exterior I would love the 4G. Love the way they drive/handle and love the interior. Great cars, just not my thing as far as exterior body style.

4G's have the rear deck rattle from the sub...and the EPS "whoosh" turning at low speeds...as far as the other little ticks and rattles...haven't noticed in anyof the loaners i've had in the past.

even my MDX has a couple of annoying ticks...no rattles...just ticks.
