I just LOVE it when people ask "WHAT SHOULD I GET?" because the only real answer is "If you have to ask...."

I must say, the clutch is far more challenging than I thought it would be. I learned how to drive 5 speed on my brother's Civic EX and it was the most simple clutch in the world. The challenge with the MT TL is that you have 250hp going to the front two wheels. Achieving a smooth launch is difficult because you do not want to burn rubber at every light and bobb your passengers heads heads all the time driving around the city. That beautiful torque kicks in around 3k though and it is intoxicating. I am currently running stage 1 exhaust and I am about to upgrade to Stage 3 exhaust because I find that when I hear my engine throughout it's RPM cycle I hit my shifts cleaner. I highly suggest altering your exhaust to stage 3 because it sounds sexy. Stage 1 is a must for any TL owner. UNLEASH THE NOISE FROM THE BEAST UNDER THE HOOD!

I drove my buddies Dodge Neon SRT-4 the other day and his clutch is shot. It is an 2005 Dodge so you can imagine how beat it is. The low end torque is solid, but the TL's high RPM torque curve (V-TECH, SHAWTY) is perfect for naughty expressway merges.

I have had my 6MT TL for about 10 months now and I am just now smooth throughout every commute. It's all about dem synchros, baybah.

^actually, its not the high powered vehicle.

its actually the clutch its self.
we have a dual mass pressure plate that self adjusts.
this means its using an unconventional clutch - an UNSPRUNG CLUTCH DISK and a sprung or dampened flywheel.
