Hello,
Sorry that I revive this old thread. After seeing everybody with great results in their license plate light diy, I decided to buy a couple from vleds. After taken the trunk lid out, I was able to take the light socket out without too much of a problem. I then swap the led light out and everything looks ok.. NOW here is the problem that i'm having.
For some stupid reason that I cannot even explain to myself, I could not place the socket back in. I ended up keep forcing it and broke one of the side tabs. Is there anybody that can help me? Where can I buy new license plate bulb socket?
Lastly, please educate a newb like me in how to insert the sockets back in the right way.
Thanks very much for your help guys.

Thanks for the quick response Red Vodoo.. I didnt feel as bad for breaking something now.
As far as the right angle, can somebody please elaborate a little bit more regarding that? lol.. i want to really have a better picture of it before i break the other side of the tab.
Thanks guys!

With the trunk lining out, look from the side of the car to where the bulb socket goes in (use a flashlight).
Note the shape of the hole where the socket holder tab fits and then note the shape of the socket holder itself.
While standing on the side, align the weird polygons together, squeeze both side of the tabs and fit them in. Aligning the shapes together is a little tricky, kinda like a puzzle
If one of the tabs broke, I say stick one side in and then secure it evenly with electrical tape.
