DIY: Interior Lights
DIY: Interior Lights
I know a lot of people have questions about these, so I'm going to put them all in one so nobody has to do several searches. Just type Interior lights.
-Back dome
All you do here is stick a small screwdriver, like the one shown in this picture, into the little slot in the plastic cover.

-Back dome 2
Just pry and the piece will pop out, do the same for the other side.

-Center Council 1
You can use your nails or a screwdriver, but there is a slot to fit, and just pull it back and it'll pop out.
-Center Council 2
It's hard to see in my pictures because I have a lot of things, but it comes out very easily.
-Center Council 3
There isn't much slack, so just hope your fingers are small enough to work with it. All you do to get to the bulb is twist the back of it.
-Front Dome 1
It's the same procedure for basically all of them. Stick the screwdriver in the slot like so.
-Front Dome 2
It comes out like this, and you pull the bulb out with your fingers(it takes a little wiggling, so be patient).
-Door 1
Same thing, Screwdriver, Pry, exchange bulb. Now, I can do this with my fingers, it just takes a little force, but with a screwdriver it'll be easier.
-Door 2
Yank the bulb out and replace.
-Glove compartment 1
Open the glove compartment and squeeze the two sides so it unhooks and falls down.
-Glove Compartment 2
If you look on the right side, there is a stick hooked onto the door, just push back and it'll come right out. I like this feature, it's pretty nice. A little hydraulics here and there never hurts.
-Glove Compartment 3
This is how it should look, now look inside on the right side.
-Glove Compartment 4
You can see it along the top.
-Glove Compartment 5
I pried it out with my finger, but if you have problems doing this, get a small screwdriver.
-Glove compartment 6
There it is, this has more slack than the one in the center council, so it's a lot easier to work with.
-Glove Compartment 7
Same thing as the Center, just twist and it comes out.
-Trunk 1
Here, you shove a screwdriver on the right side and pull down a little bit. You will see a wedge-like piece of plastic.
-Trunk 2
This requires a little bit of force and is a little tricky.
You have to push in, so the wedged piece is no longer caught, and pull down at the same time. This will come out with a little force.
You can also take out the trunk lining and go from the top, just push with your fingers on the right side, it'll come down. I don't have any pictures because I don't want to take it out just for this, I might later when I have my bulbs(havn't ordered a few of them yet).
-Visor 1
This is similiar to the trunk, just shove it in there.
-Visor 2
You don't push down on this one as much, but you really have to push in. This will unwedge the piece of plastic, and you'll be able to pull it down.
-Visor 3
As you can see, the wedged piece is on the right side.
These were taken with a Blackberry, so sorry if the pictures aren't that great. Anyways, I hope this helps anybody who wondered how to get these bulbs out. I know I coulda used it when I was doing all of this, had to figure it out myself.
