Hi Everyone,

I decided to start new thread for full LED interior conversion for Acura TL 04 to 08. I read all thread for LED conversion they are very helpful to me but no one is complete and step by step. Since I decided to upgrade my interior with LED I was really confused about number of LEDs I need, what type of LED. After reading all thread and DIY here is my conclusion.


First Step: total number of LEDs by location and type of LEDs

Preferred LED Types:
Volt: 3.2v/ 3.5v (with resister)
12v or 14v for direct use
Current: 20 mA to 40 mA
CMD: min 8000 max 12000 (8500)
Type: 3mm round flat head LED, and PLCC-2 SMD
Color: Daytime White (6500K)

Maybe links would be helpful.

I'm not very verse in LEDs, but I've been searching by 194-168 numbers for most of the interior bulbs (dome, vanity, doors). I'm sure you are talking about the same thing, but since I'm not very familiar with the terms, those numbers are all I can search by.

he's not talking about the led bulbs your talking about. you're talking about the interior lighting, but he's talking about the lights on the radio unit that is usually green for base models and red for type-s.

the lights located in the driver side power window switch and the passenger side window switch... etc

see how in the type-s every button is red? this guide is to show how many bulbs you need of what to replace it to whatever color you want instead of type-s red or stock green.

thread title is kinda confusing, i thought he was talking about the interior 194 bulbs too
