Dinged my TL but but lucky repair.
Yesterday I took my 05 NBP TL out of the garage and was shocked to find a long cream colored scrape 8''X2" above the passenger side rear wheel well. My first impression was someone had hit my car the previous night in a parking lot but the paint streak was the same color as my house trim. It looked like, at least, a $500 repair at a body shop. The paint appeared damaged but there were no dents or other body damage. Sorry no pics.
I have a fairly large garage but my wife sometimes parks towards the middle leaving me only a few inches of clearance from the side of the garage and I had apparently scraped the car against the garage entrance the night before.
Before calling and making a body shop appointment I took some fine polishing compound and gently began to remove the house paint from the TL and after about an hour all the paint was removed and except for a considerable number of superficial scratches, the clearcoat was intact.
I took a high intensity light so I could see all the damage and carefully used Scratch-X to remove the superfical scratching on the surface followed by waxing.
Now, it's impossible to see any damage to the car. Total time spent for the repair 3 hours.
The reason that I was able do this repair was, in part, due to the knowledge I gained from this site and reading the info on detailing.(and I was lucky as shit) I firmly belive that this forum is an essential part of owning and maintaining an Acura.

These are Universal 3M's which were custom cut and formed.
