Different Color Type-S tail lights?
I bought OEM type-s tails about a year ago from an online dealership and put them on shortly there after, and just the other day at work some guys mentioned they were two different colors, referring to the bezel.
I just figured it was because of the angle they were looking at it...but damned if they weren't right. The driver's side is a bright chrome, and the passenger is a dark chrome. Not sure how I never noticed it until now. It never occurred to me to check, because I didn't even think it was possible. Didn't notice it when I put them in most likely because I did it in a parking garage with the yellow'ish type lights.
Anyone else ever see this?

I remember reading this issue. a member bought a pair of tails from the dealer but the bezels were different colors.
IIRC, he had to physically check each box from the dealer to get a matching pair.
but as mentioned, check both of the lights to see if they're both OEM lights.

i got my pair from hondacuraworld and the looked fine, one day i looked at my passenger side tail and saw that on the bended part of the black chrome was a small area that was brighter chrome than the rest of it. I dont know why, but i am not bitching.

They're both OEM, doesn't say DEPO anywhere on it.
Can't remember where I bought them from, was some Acura/Honda dealership, have to wait a couple days to get my archived Credit Card statement to find out for sure, though it's probably way too late for them to do anything about it.

If its bugging you a lot, get 07-08 base tails. They look stunning on SSM. I won't hijack your thread so here's a link to the ass of my car. http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4107/...087d6ffb_z.jpg
I don't really think the difference of color on your tails is too noticeable though.

had same issue
I had the dealer swap out a cracked tail a couple of months ago. Noticed a couple of days later the new one was almost straight chrome, not the black chrome like the orig. They ordered another one and they swapped it out.
When they were done I noticed moisture in the lens and showed them, but didn't have time for them to fix it. Hopping it works it's way out on it own.
Black chrome and other coatings (anodizing) are not perfect processes as the chemicals weaken etc., so there are variations is color etc.
