Differences between American and Canadian made TL Type S
Hey,
I was just wondering if there were any differences between the 2007 - 2008 TL's that are made in the US vs those made in Canada (aside from the different speedometer and gauges).
Did the American TL Type S have any options to consider buying it brand new, or is it fully loaded from the start?
Would be very helpful to get an answer to these questions, as I am considering purchasing one very soon!!! Thanks

I don't think there any differences other than the gauges in kms and the temp in celsius.
Canadian model doesn't have Taupe/ebony int, and the MRP ext.
Ohhh and Canadian model does have the hump for the xm radio.
I have a 07 type-s American model i don't have the shark fin for xm.

I just want to clarify, that from 07+, they added XM.
So models, before 2007 would not have XM (and its antenna).
That aside, the OP wanted to know the differences between 2007-2008 models, so everyone should just leave "XM" out of this discussion.
The canadian models have french stuff, also.

Thanks! Your answers will really help my decision. I'm glad there aren't any major differences, as I'm considering importing the car here to Canada.
Has anyone here had any experience importing an American car to Canada? Is it a lot of trouble? Will I have to make any modifications to the car before importing? (ie. daytime lights). I'm also wondering if all the functions will work the same here such as the navigation?

Check out the RIV web site, all the info listed there, for 07-08 TL you dont need any moddification except for the French and English labels you can buy the whole set less than $150 and stick them on, i didnt do mine cuz i know the technician at the Canadian Tire in Brampton. i dont think American dealers would sell new car to Canadian any more but used cars they would, i got mine new 3 years ago when they still selling to Canadian. Make sure that you can get a recall letter from Honda and fax the papers like the recall letter, bill of sale and the tittle to US border 72 hours before you import the vehicle.
Good luck if you decied go this route.
