Sorry if this is a stupid question but...

I've tried searching but I couldn't find if there is a difference between the type S and the base 07-08 gauge cluster. I'm sure the connectors are the same and all but design wise? how do you tell when looking for a type s or base?

 

Blue LED lighting on base versus Red LED lighting on Type S and also look for the ring around the circle its red or blue.

Also obvious difference between AT & 6MT. As the pics joneill44 posted above show.
Is it just the way it looks in those pics or is the info display bigger on the TLS? I've never been in a 07-08 base tl but it looks like it in those pics at least.

 

^^^^they are the same, trust me they are identical for AT type S except for red versus blue.
