Take it easy all. I have Acuras in my blood. Just a friendly encounter...
Anyway, I was pulling up to a light tonight after work and saw a very nice new TL Type S. Silver w/ the gunmetal OEM rims. He was actually stopped at the light and I was approaching the light in 3rd gear and slowed to about 5mph when the light turned. I rolled back into the throttle slightly and passed the TL about 1/2 car length. I noticed he was accelerating "briskly" to match speed and line up with me. We must have been only going about 20mph. So, I pressed the throttle a bit more and, yep, he matched speed. I then saw his car jump a bit and I knew he was flooring it. I went WOT a moment later (still in the low rpms of 3rd gear at about 30mph) and matched his 1/2 car jump and put about 2 cars on him in less than 60 feet. I still hadn't even hit the sweet spot in my powerband. I think the supercharger whine and 3" exhaust note scared him a bit. He stayed back for a while in traffic and later gunned it right by me and exited off the road onto another side street. He never did look over at me
.
So, if I see you again in Auburn, WA don't be afraid to say 'hi'. I'm always game to talk about Acuras!
