i got my oil change at 6700 miles and i'ved notice that my average MPG is 18 on city streets and it always stayed around 20-21 and my driving habits never changed.Has anybody experience this.now that i think about it, since i filled the tank the day after the oil change it stayed at 18 MPG since i reset the MID like i always do when i fill and now i almost have a half a tank left.

Did you change the oil yourself or was it done somewhere? If you changed it yourself, what weight oil did you use? If it was done somewhere, do you know for sure what weight oil was used? I am thinking that dealers often use oil from a common bulk tank and may be using a different weight oil than specified.

Since we are just starting to get more information on this brand new car, I am wondering if perhaps using something other than the 5W-20 specified by Acura would result in this change.

Has anyone else experienced this?
