just installed my OEM ones tonight, along with some bosch euro style wiper blades (dont know why the TL didnt come with them -- even my 8thgen civic had em) and LED DRL's.

Honestly, i like the look of the visors...the OEM ones are clean and smooth. I'm off on vacation for 2 weeks, when i get back i'll snap some pics!

I got em....love them. They are very functional. I put them on the first time I went to have my smoke on the way to work in the rain and the water came pouring in on me when I tried to crack the window.

LOL, wow look at what I started. Yeah I did a search cause I wanted to get a better perspective on them. Didn't think a good handful of 10-15 people would reply. How much did you guys buy them for? Oem at the factory is pretty expensive.

I just want to reiterate, the oem(jdm) is the best look, but they are not as effective in the rain, (I still get water dripping towards the front bottom of the window when it is opened about 1.5 inches so I can smoke a stoggie...) as the weather tech, which will provide a better coverage....but it's looks vs coverage.

I've had the weather tech ones in the last three cars I've owned. I love them, they're lighter in tint then the oem ones and fit inside the window channel, don't stick to the outside of the car.

Another thing about weather tech, I've had mine on my car since new (06 tl) and was driving the other day with the windows open and heard a POP, looked back and saw my passenger side rear one gone. I called them up to see if I could just buy one and they told me that they'd send me a new back pair for FREE, called it a warranty issue. They sent it 2nd day fedex. Great company.

As said....the dude was telling him NOT to buy anything but OEM....so not sure the rant on him is necessary. And where did you come up with $40,000? That or you got ripped off majorly when you bought yours.....$33,000 for TLS is closer to $30K than $40K in my rounding world. JMO.

Michael, 33 grand it's now with 09 on the way and with overstock.

Before you would pull 37-38 easy =]

Now a question, since you've mentioned that you do get a little of water sipping thru at the lower bottom corner (just like me), can we combat that? I'm constantly wiping that while smoking...and no...I aint quitting just yet

Since I put my visors on....I have NO water coming through whatsoever. But I only crack my window 1/2 inch or so.....thats been the best way I have found to keep it from happening.

$33,000 for a TLS? damn now thats cheap. i paid $35,000 for a 06 6spd in 2007... the tls's in hawaii are going for around $43,000 out the door n $38,000 for a base TL. they dont budge on the price at all probably because they are the only acura dealership on the island.

I'm so rich I just decided to buy 2 set's,now that's ballin thank's for the support guy's and 08 Wdp I KINDA feel you,but my fogs were cheap and I love them though......

the oem aren't even perfect,I have No water usually but I know the corner your talking about. If you look the contour of the window visor, it is slightly different than the actual window where it ends. If it is slightly cracked you should get NO water but if you roll it down to where the visor/window meet you might get water in that corner............

Lol, hilarious thread. Going to bump it again. Hey, who needs hundreds of threads about window visors?

Anyone got a pic side view like in post #47 but of the weathertech? On their site it looks pretty close to OEM! I like window visors. I have them on my prelude.

Usually I'd go with OEM but they're double the cost of the weathertech for me (around 350CAD+tax installed)

Hmm I can't edit my post anymore, but nevermind, found an ok sample.

https://acurazine.com/forums/showpos...06&postcount=3

I see how it doesn't go all the way to the rear windows... actually, even at the middle, the OEM covers that black part... interesting.......

That's why I went OEM, the package said 04-06 tl and I don't think they changed the body for the 07-08 or type-s so The front was a perfect fit, but even if the back lined up perfect, the OEM's look so much nicer and cleaner.........

I had a moonroof visor on my accord. I'm assuming the moonroof visors retain the same design as before, and the rubber seal eventually scarred/scratched the paint underneath. So I opted not to get the moonroof visor this time around.

Besides, the aerodynamics are better on the TL. You can actually open the moonroof completely without having that wind buffeting slapping your head anymore. I can still remember driving with my moonroof open on the accord w/o the visor. Felt like someone was in the back seat and bopping my head like bopping moles.

yea don't like moon roof visor, that's ugly.

Besides, I noticed the TL has this piece that sticks up to deflect the air, so you don't need the visor.
