Question Diamond Coating

I just picked up my 04 blk Tl. While in closing, the dealer quoted something to me called "Diamond Coating". He explained that for approximately 300 dollars, the clear coat on the car that was sprayed on will be buffed into a smoother coat, creating a glossier, almost wet shine. He also stated that waxing is bad when this occurs. Am I being played, or is it worth it? I have never heard of this technique, or am aware of any drawbacks that comes with it. I would appreciate any responses.

Sounds like pure dealer 'make extra profit' BS to me. I'd personally tell the sales person trying to push this to Diamond Coat his rectal opening and allow you to be there when they hit it with the buffing machine so you can see for yourself how shiney it gets. If you can see yourself in his butt mirror, buy it !!!

NO DEALER ADD ONS! Undercoating / Stain Guard and ESPECIALLY PAINT TREATMENTS!!!!

These are simply high-profit items for the dealer and they figure that you will never come back to complain about them. Some have been found to be harmful to your car.

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
