Depo Type S headlights

The left side of my cars bodywork and headlight got wrecked in an accident yesterday. I had cleared and blacked out my old lights. So, wrecking one about the worst. I was wondering if I could get Depo Type S lights, but switch out my bi-xenon projector, relatively easy anyway?

Here's the best pic I could find of my old lights:Depo Type S headlights-headlamp.jpg

i doubt oem projectors will bolt up to aftermarket headlights. You're assuming that DEPO made the internal bracket to OEM specs(not impossible, but rare chance). If you're willing to do a retrofit though, Im sure it wouldnt be too hard.

DEPO headlights suck. I was fortunate enough to find out (a year after i bought the car), the passenger side headlight on my car is a Depo. Its hazing/yellowing faster and the cutoff isn't as sharp.

DEPO projectors are the same size as oem. I'm pretty sure. I have an extra DEPO projector. I'll see if the oem one bolts directly to the DEPO bezel after I'm done cleaning the car out lol

That'd be way cool of you to do that. I like the cost of the depo's, but I'm not hearing any positives. I'm thinking I may just have to get 2 new oem lights and bake them in the oven again.

Does the Depo get more condensation than the oem? I could live with the hazing/yellowing if my oem projectors can be retrofitted relatively easy. I polish/restore headlights for a living. So, I can deal with hazing and yellowing.

Cant comment on their headlights, but Ive had no problem with DEPO tails on multiple vehicles now. I wouldnt hesitate to buy again, especially if in a bind

very interesting. I'd definitely be interested to hear if it'll bolt on to the DEPO headlight

first off, condensation and hazing are different things.
aftermarket headlights usually dont have as good quality polycarbonates and plastics, so sometimes it doesnt matter how good you are at restoring headlights.
Not saying the depos are bad since I havent seen them before but I've definitely encountered some bad ones before.

I dont really see any condensation in either of my headlights, save for some extremely humid nights. Typically its the same on both sides.

That's good to hear.

That's unfortunate, but thanks for offering. You said the Depo and OEM projectors were the same size though?

I thought I would possibly be able to salvage my current lights, but the corner reflector cracked where it meets the side of the hid projector. It would have been nice to save $700+.

Definitely won't be salvaging my old headlight. It's a lot worse than I was hoping. Obviously, the one mount is cracked, but I didn't realize it was cracked on the bottom by the turn signal.

I still don't know what to do. Get one used oem and try to match my other side, get two used oem and mod them, get a pair of used oem type s, or get Depo type s and hope my oem projectors can be mounted in their easily.
