Where in Atlanta? United Collision on Steve Reynolds is supposed to be pretty damn good. Slick set up for estimates. I personally have not gotten any work done as of right now, but that will change next week as they are taking some stone chips out of my hood. They have worked on the bumper for my dad's '03 7 series and it looks great.

I have a guy who can take of it for you. Let me know if you are interested. He actually works in Norcross for a dealership there. But I am sure you will probably want him to do it as a side job in an attempt for you to keep some of the insurance money. Anyway let me know via PM and I can get you his info.

Take your car to Magnum Collision!! They are the preferred body shop of Lamborghini of Atlanta as well as Aston Martin. I took my prelude there back in the day when someone rear ended me. Great work, and great reputation. They are on the north end of town though. If you have never heard of Alan Cox Automotive they are located in the same general area and is a great Honda/Acura mechanic

My wife and I took her Explorer to an Abra place years ago after I rolled it over driving all crazy in middle Wisconsin looking for a campsite.

we had a horrible experience with the place. Shit work, nothing ever fixed properly, paint job sucked, the white paint had a yellow tint to it, the door never lined back up properly...etc etc. They must have deals with insurance companies to give the lowest price so they get the referral business. I'd steer clear of them if you can. I believe you should be able to take it where ever you want, right?

If you go with a dealership, try Ed Voyles. Also, you should post this question in the ATL group, there are a lot of active ATL Aziners in there (see my sig for link)

I'm good friend with a guy that has a collision shop in Lilburn. He did a LOT of work on my cousin's race car. He himself races in SCCA Improved Touring and/or Spec Miata classes.

He's done several phenomenal jobs on my cousin's cars after a few bad encounters with concrete walls at Road Atlanta.

PM me if you want his info.

Cheers.

Cool to see how many people are in the area! I'll let guys know how United Collision, not to be confused with United BMW at Gwinnett Place, is just in case people need more options.
It's funny, now every time I see a TL I think, "I wonder if they are on Acurazine..."

well i haven't gotten the car fixed as i am taking many of your answers and calling and trying to figure which one i wanna go with. Thanks! I have already filed the claim with his insurance.... but i haven't gotten the car fixed. Is there a time limit on when the car must be fixed after the accident? No adjuster or anyone has called me since?

Hey Pearlite,
My TL (Anthracite Metallic) has been sideswiped and rear ended (two different accidents). I took it to Abra Body (recommended by GEICO). They do great work. My car looks like its never been hit and they matched the paint perfectly. My Mercedes was also rear ended, and the other guys insurance (State Farm) also recommended and paid for its repair at Abra Body, and again a flawless repair.
Just my

You can call his insurance company (the general 1800 number) and talk to the claims department. They should give you the name and number of the adjuster and their recommended repair shops. Make sure what ever repair shop you use, they give you a detailed estimate of the parts to be replaced, and the labor. Also, and hopefully, he has a reputable insurance company that will use a shop that warranties their work for lifetime (like Abra Auto body).

The Mercedes broke a motor mount in the accident. I didn't hear or feel that 'noise' untill 6 months after the car was repaired. After the Mercedes dealer confirmed that the motor mount was broken, I call the body shop and they said 'yes, it probably happened during the accident'. They called GEICO, got the work approved, and replaced the motor mounts in one day.

Which one ? I had a great experience at the Morrow location and the Douglasville Location. Not only did they fix my cars quickly and beautifully, but they treated me like a king.
