Calling out someone because they drive a civic is pretty funny since most of us drive a "luxury" honda sedan.
Anyway, angel eyes=bmw, LED strip=audi, I always laugh at the losers that have angel eyes or audi strips on a chevy impala or something....most of the time they are cheap ebay LED and are so dim and ugly.
The projector thing looks cool but too much work on a TL, just stick in red LED bulb or something.

Just like I said in my previous statement, you don't know what "rice" is. It doesn't mean you have lambo doors. Originally Posted by con5tant

And no LED strips AND Angel eyes didn't originally come from either manufacturer first. The only reason you say that is because you saw it first on there cars/built the headlights specifically for it. The TL with angel eyes looks very good and unique. I didn't agree before, but now that I have it, I think it flows perfectly well.Originally Posted by Aretardedorange

^^^I was going to say, that civic doesn't look ricey to me and if you think about it, 10 years ago...it wasn't SO laughed at to have lambo doors...people wanted them and were all ooohhh ahhhhh for them, myself included.

Dan, you know it man.
About the angel eyes...there was a guy named msala that had a type s with the red angel eyes and it was very well executed. Can't say the guy was a favorite because he wasn't humble at all about his car and lied about some other mods and how much they cost him, but his car was very cool.
I think the term rice is thrown around a little too literally...a "ricey" car should have a BUNCH of other supporting ricey looking mods to make it a ricey car. Amp'd emblem...was called "rice"...slammed "rice"...stickers "rice". In my opinion, not true. People are just followers...people don't have vision of their own...
With most mods...there's a FINE line between classy and overdone. Take my car for instance...did the blue projector ring to match the lugs and valve stem caps to go with the blue flake in NBP, right?! I contemplated doing my calipers in blue...doing the chrome headlight strip in blue...but didn't because in my head, I pictured it and felt like it pushed the limit of looking cool and looking overdone (or ricey if you must).
I've also gone through stages of learning and trying things...at one point I had red painted emblems
I look back now and WTF was I thinking!!!
Here is rice...that put that silver civic above into perspective?

We call anything we don't understand a name...the N word, the K word, C word...RICE...give me a break. Then we see a manufacturer put it in the car and then it becomes the norm and then we accept it and then we try and mimick it. Then there's how well you are able to actually mimick it, but that's a whole other story. I see very few angel eyes or led strips done properly.

It's ok about the civic comments because I hated those doors with a passion. On for a month then off.
Constant took his time to find pictures in my photo bucket, but he purposely ignored all the others and posted a pic That was a lonngggg time ago in his desperate atempt to put someone else down over what? And for what?
I have a TL and a civic but even with the new motor and supercharger the civic saves more gas than the TL. Which is why I still drive my civic. I still like it

Those doors back then was the craze back then! The things we do when we are young

True, Lexus has released those LED strips at the headlight like Audi (talk about unoriginality and no creativity). I actually had the chance to compare the LEDS in my Audi and the LEDS in the new Lexus GS and the Audi LED are far more superior+brighter, Lexus has a bunch of box style LED acting like a strip...no design or anything. Besides Lexus I also noticed a KIA with a very dim LED strip (that kia where the rats were driving it if you guys remember the commercials), that looked 10x worse than the Lexus lol.
Lets not forget Mercedes with the hockey style LED lol.

TL with angel eyes looks good when done properly, I think its your car I have seen with the angel eyes on it and it looks very nice (if your car is black), but personally, its not for me. The audi strips on the other hand never work because they are always dim and will never look good as the high quality LEDS audi has.Originally Posted by TheChamp531

Back to the original topic, I've seen the "demon eyes" thing on the G37 done to quite a few cars. From what I understand it's pretty easy to do to any car with projectors. Apparently you just drill a hole in the side of the projector, stick an LED in, an seal it up. The led shining into the projector housing gives off that faint colored glow. If you do it right it doesn't affect the actual headlight either, and the LEDs are typically wired to a switch that allows you to just turn them on for pics, car shows, ect. and turn them off on the street so you don't get pulled over.
This company does a lot of them:

If I'm not mistaken, the hole is drilled into the side of the projector housing, between the cutoff shield and the lens.

no need to drill anything, i'll post some pictures on my progress thread later. i'm planning on doing this for my DRL projectors.

F the red demon eyes. Do the one that switches color to any color you want. That is what I'm doing in the near future.

You can get a similar effect by going to clear instead of fresnel lenses and painting the cutoff shield with high temp red paint, that way they glow on their own during the day.

You can see those aren't plugged into anything and it doesn't effect the lighting performance, I did a retrofit on my last car using all factory parts, if I ever had to rip them open again I was gonna try that mod, I think putting an LED inside the reflector bowl is stupid and the heat will probably kill it if it's inside the projector.

I want them too, but I'm afraid they would just be for car show use only.
