Definition of Type S

So I guess what makes a TL a Type S is the rims..smh!

http://www.carmax.com/enus/view-car/...0-867bce17dc29

this is also a prime example of what happens if u dont get a Type S, u spend money trying to make it look like one JK! :P

It's a base TL.

Headlights, bumpers, interior, all base.

Rims are the only thing Type-S.

Taupe seats in the Type-S are not two-tone; only the Ebony interior has the Ebony/Silver seats.

Has any one mentioned the missing 'sport' pedals yet?

Kool. I have owned 2-3rd Gen TL's with Nav and one 07 Type-S.
I WILL buy an 07-08 WDP TL Type-S when I find one I want

I had a dream last night that was so real

In the dream I settled for a Base TL with Nav, and it was not WDP.
Then I woke up and was SO GLAD it was only a dream

I always "Suggest" The Type-S because there is a Great Difference IMO

I spent ALOT of money Modding my 06 WDP TL manual (see avatar) to Look like a Type-S. I wont make that mistake again !!!

I just called about it. Its being sold as I spoke to the salesman.

I didnt read the main subject of this thread.

WOW, I didnt notice the light color carpet and no quads.

When I started to talk to the saleman about paying the $449 transfer fee to the Carmax near me, he said somebody just paid the transfer fee and I woulndt know If its still available until 2 hous is up. NO THANKS

The way the 07-08 WDP TL Type-S sells ASAP. I now have to JUMP on it ASAP. I have to check EVERYDAY on several websites to find one. They sell in 1-2 days where I live.

Its SO HARD to get one

Thy Will Be Done Patience

Thats exactly what the Carmax Salesman said. I hope that person looks at the 3.2 liter engine and realizes the Type-S has a 3.5 liter

Highly unlikely. If they're that far along in the process already, then it's not a good look for the buyer.

They even have the specs listed as a type-S (3.5L, 286hp, etc.). Thta's false advertising right there.

Legally, how does this work? Any recourse for the buyer if/when they find out? Or is this just the price paid for not being an informed consumer?

Nowhere in the listing does it say it's a Type-S or 3.5. Must have fixed the listing.

And I'm sure it wasn't being sold as you spoke to them. That's just something they say when you call them out on their mistake and they realize there is no chance for a sale. No reason to keep to talking to you at that point. On to the next potential sale.
