defect in paint ?

I just took delivery of my silver 2005 TL, while i was waxing it i notice only on the front bumper something like sand grain under the clear coat at some different places.
Is there anyone here that notice the same thing ?
DO you think it's a sign that the bumper had been re-painted ?

Thank you for your help.

just bad painting on their part. the metalic or pearl on the bumper is not uniform with the metal body. it seems like they did not paint the bumper and the body at the same time , either that or they just use some cheap ass material for the new bumpers. either way, whoever painted the bumpers on our TL should be

You may be right - but maybe you are not. My car came with what appeared to me to be rail dust over most of its surface. A thorough detail and a one-time clay barring by me restored it to perfection. I have found only one flaw in my paint - same as my NSX had, far fewer than the Cobra, but not as good as the S2000. I am quite satisfied with the paint on my car.

I use 3M Show Car Paste wax - a variation of 3M's marine product that has carnauba, silicones, and a flouropolymer with properties similar to Teflon, but in a micro-granular form that bonds to paint. Extremely resistant to acid rain and water-spotting, with a good shine for a siliconed product (courtesy of the large amount of carnauba and montan wax).
