The deer

Driving home from work tonight down a rural road. A deer jumped out. I hit it going about 45. It caught the upper right fender, bumper, license bracket, and broke the plastic around the headlight (but not the cover).

If I had a digital camera I ‘d post some pictures. I’m very bummed. The car, though, just went “thump”. I am amazed at how solid it felt when it happened. Also in fast deer can jump. It wasn’t there – and then I hit it!

I have no idea how much this will cost. I’ve called my insurance company and a claims adjuster is calling me tomorrow.

My car is RRP. Does anyone have experience in how well body shops can match to this color?

RRP/Camel/5AT/Navi

I have RRP also but have only had a stone chip touched up but it matches quite well.

I had a 1991 Red Legend that had a major crash and the body shop matched the paint perfectly. Reputable body shops will have no trouble matching and they get the paint from Acura.

Sorry to hear this. Hope your car would get back to normal as soon as possible.

A few months ago, on the way to Green Bay from Marquette, residents told me to watch out Route 35 near Green Bay and Lake Michigan, tons tons of deers out there. I was scared to drive that route to my destination. I was lucky to pass through without seeing one.
