Decision Point on 2006 6MT 207K miles

Looking for some opinions on what to do with my 2006 6MT which now has a slipping clutch.

History - Received car from a friend of mine a few years ago. Had 155K miles and was not running well. I performed all the routing maintenance including complete brakes, timing belt, filters, battery, plugs, steering pump, new suspension components, tires, etc, etc, Put another 60+K on the car.

The car is otherwise mechanically sound and drives quite well. Cosmetically, it was pretty beat up when I got it. Lots of electronic stuff is inoperable as is typical of these cars (bluetooth, nav interior lights, etc). I don't think it would fetch more than $1K on the market currently.

Quote from local Acura specialist was $2700 for clutch job incl. new OEM DMFW. I am not doing this clutch job myself. I suppose other option might be to find a decent aftermarket kit and have it installed.

Question for the group - Is the car worth repairing? If so, can you suggest a reasonable course of action.

Thanks!

fuck yes, it's worth repairing...

LUK is the OEM manufacture of our clutches...you can find the clutch and flywheel, both for under $500.
then have a local indie mechanic install it for $350-500 and now your clutch job is only $1k.

~$1000 for 200k more miles of driving is worth it...

Find Indie Shop, that's too expensive. Also yes it is worth it.

Thanks! Can anyone recommend a supplier for the LUK kit? Anyone know a reputable Indie shop in the Balt/DC area?

check the usual suspects....ebay, rockauto, google, amazon, alibaba, partsexpress, etc...
I had bought my LUK kit from dealers online store, ONLY to find it cheaper on ebay....so check all sources for the cheapest LUK kit

Guessing I should also replace input shaft seal, rear main, throwout bearing, and transmission mount. What else?
