Dealership left trash in the engine bay
A few weeks ago had a spark plug coil pack and a O2 sensor replaced at the dealership because of a blinking check engine light.
A few days after that I kept noticing a burning/exhaust smell every so often. I was thinking that it was someone else's vehicle.
One day I was driving without any other cars on the road and I smelled that burning/exhaust smell again, so I knew it had to be my vehicle that was making the smell. I thought it was an exhaust leak so I was going to take it to a muffler shop.
So I popped the hood to look around and i saw a hamburger (Swensons) wrapper stuck in the engine. The wrapper is aluminum foil and that was the source of the burning smell. I had use a bbq skewer to get it out.
So whoever worked on it last dropped it into the engine bay.
I emailed the service center advisor (since I had his business card) to let him know and his response was " I would think maybe it blew up off the road. Techs dont eat at the cars but I did mention it to them"
So i told him to his his manager call me. How would you guys proceed? it costed about $576 total for this to be done at the dealership.

Burning Brakes
I would:
- always check the engine bay when I have someone work on the car, if any engine related work is done
- get 100 pieces of Swensons burger wrapping papers and drop them off on the manager's desk at the dealer

Mr. Detail
Did something like that myself when I had my Chevelle. Didn't realize I left a towel under the hood, it fell down onto one of the headers and caught fire. Luckily I saw the smoke in time, was able to pull over and remove the towel with a stick.
I agree, probably something blew up from the road, can't imagine techs are holding a burger in one hand while working on a car with the other.

That's ridiculous, I'd go ask for a refund.
