Does anyone know or have a good idea on how much the dealer will try to dock me if i wanted to trade in my car and the paint on one side is mismatched? Thinking about trading in my '05 TL for something else or possible selling it.

more details will help mileage and why paint color mismatch was it from accident . Just to give you a rough idea. i traded my 6 month old tl-06 w/navi w/11000 miles and the dealer gave me 28000

 

It's an '05 TL currently with 21100 miles on it. I've already looked on KBB, but not sure if that is what I will get (because they have to see the car). Paint is mismatched (it looks fine when the sun is shining on it, but in the shade or at night....especially under a light at night, you can tell) because I took it to the body shop to repair. Was not in an accident. Needed work done because I scratched the wall .

 

My guess would be that if they notice the mis matched paint they will lower the price by about $1000. If you take it in to trade when it shows best they might not even notice it.
