dealer performed power steering o ring fix, but I checked the fluid level and it is well over the mark upper level. I asked the service guy and he said thats ok and he said it is fine. I asked my brother and he said it will damage the pump. Does anyone have any info on this? I mean, then why is there an upper level marking and lower level marking?

 

In the contained space of the PS system- overfilling can result in foaming of the oil- thats bad
Who at the dealer told you it was ok?
Go back and ask the SERVICE MANAGER to come look at it with you and decide

 

Yeah I am going to go back tommorow and do just that. I think they are hoping to damage the pump so they can replace it. What do you mean by foaming?
