Dealer Cracked my Windshield! :l
Well the other day while going down I-85, I decided to mist my shield. It wiped once, twice, and then No more. I did some research on here and found that it is a pretty common problem and all that I need to do is get the Wiper Motor replaced. So, today I bring in the Tizzle to get that replaced, waited 2 hours and recieved the car and drove off. As I was testing the new motor out, (it is damn aggressive compared to the older one) I noticed that there was a crack on my windshield. WTF?! So I turned around back to the dealership and showed my service advisor. After examining it for a few minutes with the Manager there, they decided to replace it for me. Now I have to bring it back tomorrow and get a loaner car.. BUMMBER ..
the crack is like a number 7 where the end goes straight down to where the wiper motor is. its about 3 inches sideways and 4 1/2 inches long.

at least they aren't giving you a hard time about replacing it

I decided to wait cause I have a high deductible, no free glass here. In mid June I was quoted $605, still too high. Today Safelite quoted me $288 , time for a new windshield just after the holiday.
The OP still got a better deal though.

Thumbs down if they didn't replace it for you. I'd be happy to know that a dealer recognized their mistake and took care of it.

Update
Well I brought it back this morning and btw, the crack grew longer and curved up more, and they didnt have any loaners left so they rented me an enterprise car... DODGE NEON!!! LOL! it was RED too... lmao.. but at the end of the day they had a loaner for me so I came back and traded it in for a 7k miles 06 WDP/NAVI.. I totally want a freaking WDP/NAVI now.. they're taking Tizzle hostage overnight.. might be finished tomorrow.

I've read your story and it seems like a true horror.. I hope it is going to turn out better than before, or at least the same. GOOD LUCK!

To all, thanks for listening out. They're not giving my any problems so far and Hopefully they won't start.. but those wipers are SUPER strong..and probably could kill a kid.
