Deal on Navi,6mt, hi-perf tires
Just ordered my Anthracite/Ebony TL yesterday with navi and summer tires. The dealer gave me $2000 off MSRP, and offered me 21,200 for my 2002 TL-S with 12300 miles on the odometer. He also told me if I could sell it before my new car is delivered that he would run it thru his books for no charge to my buyer so that I won't have to pay sales tax on the whole car. My question is do you guys think he gave me a good deal on the car and trade-in. My old car was never driven in the snow or rain, has 12300 miles, and is NBP. The car also has a comptech exhaust that the dealer doesn't want, so I can sell it after the trade. This car is immaculate, so do you guys think I can sell it for more than the trade-in he gave me. The $2000 discount off MSRP for the new car applies either with or without the trade. THANKS

What is the price you paid $2000 off MSRP. $32,850 ??? What else does that come with ? Do you get the protection package and any other freebie? I am paying 33,800 but I get 3 year free oil change. Also are you getting 6MT or AT ?

I am getting a six speedn manual transmission (6mt), and I didn't want or ask for any options besides the high-performance tires. The dealer tried to sell me paint protection package, which I don't want...I'll take care of that myself, a spoiler...which I don't think the car needs as much as the old TL-S, and other assorted stuff that makes them more profit. He gave me $2000 off MSRP for the car with navi, and the optional summer(high performance) tires

As far as your trade-in, yes you got a good deal on that one too. I had a 2003 TL-S with 10,000 miles on it and the best I could get was $23,500.
You did great, congratulations!

Thanks for the info dulnev, the place I bought my new TL is Jones Acura in Lancaster, PA They are great, and I've bought 4 Acuras from them so maybe they just wanted to keep my business. Dennis is the mgr. and he gave me the deal.

I just picked up the car few hours ago(Anthracite w/Ebony).
I paid for $32,800 for 6MTw/Nav(JCXNY, this is my price, I can tell you now because I got the car already...). This is special deal because I know a salesman for a long time.
Plus ground effect and Decklid Spoiler for $1,400. I knew I can get the body kit and spoiler for about $1,200 but I did easy way this time. The dealer did great gift for me without telling... wheel lock, trunk tray, and luggage net.
I think $2K off MSRP is pretty good.

You got a very good deal, I traded a 2002 TL-S with 15,000 miles for a Redundo Red/Ebony MT6-Navi at Lehigh Valley Acura and they offered $21,000 trade in. I sold it privately for $23,000. They would not do the paperwork for the trade-in so we had to do that at AAA and we both got hit for the full sales tax. They said that was a grey area that they didn't want to get involved with which is true but most dealers I have delt with in the past have offered to do this. I paid MSRP but they threw in mudflaps, body side moulding, and locking lug nuts plus gave me a good deal on the extended warranty which added up to about $800 off.
