https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...ighlight=pedal - Post #7 & #12. Not a pefect match. You have to get all 3 pedals after market to get a perfect match.

I thought one of the site vendors had a set with the Type- engraved in it, but don't remember which one.

Ripper, be sure to check out those links. Bearcat's Dead Pedal is awesome-it is embedded into the pedal, so it's a continuous smooth surface. Bearcat's pedal and mine were purchased at www.ultimatepedals.com

Hi Mike,
Here's a picture of my Dead Pedal now...it is updated.

Here is a picture of Bearcat's pedal. Notice his is embedded into the pedal, so it's a continuous smooth surface-very cool!!! Mine is not. I just bought an extra Type S badge and adhered it onto the pedal.

Damn that’s shit is sexy thanks for your help!
Hopefully yall answer these questions as well
Bearcat when you order the pedal how did you tell them to put the "Type-S" badge or engavement and did you happen to choose the Shiny Smooth with Flat from www.ultimatepedals.com
Displayed below

Also does anyone have the TL's stock dead pedal's spec in a diagram or blueprint so that when order the custom one it will fit perfectly.
Hopefully yall answer these questions as well

I called and talked to them. Very freindly and helpful.
I sent a pic of the badge next to a tape measure for approximate size - they wanted to make sure they could fit a pocket into the pedal. No problem.
Then I sent them the Badge and they sent it back with a pedal with the cutout to fit. You can see how it arrived in the thread I linked. The badge didn't cost me anything since it was the one I took off the trunk. If you buy one at the dealer, I think it's around $30.
I used quick set golf club epoxy to affix the badge, then mounted the whole thing right on top of the current rubber foot rest.
Just choose the pedal you want from their selector tool: Acura --> TL --> Foot Rest. It fits perfectly and the floor mat edge fits snugly under the bottom edge of the pedal.

Yep...it IS an addiction. But seriously, the dead pedal is a great mod. It completes the 3 pedal setup for sure.
Ripper, Rob at Ultimate Pedals are great and they know the sizing already for the pedals. I had them make my pedal without supplying them with any measurements. They had done TL's before. Plus, I got the "flanged" pedal. That means that the metal is curved on the right hand side of the pedal. So you won't see the OEM rubber pedal underneath.

It's from ultimatepedals.com. They charged me $67, including engraving the Type-S and shipping. Yeah it's little high, but the quality seems to be pretty good, and the fit is much more precise than one of those "one size fits all" kinds.

Steven,
I Googled the Momo plate and found the cheapest price here, $92.00:
http://www.2kracing.com/Product/68707.html
NetDiver may have a better souce though.
Just found this one, $82.00:
http://www.ltbmotorsports.com/momogridt200.html
I'd check on shipping on both sites for overall lowest price.

Thanks buddy...I appreciate those links. Those are interesting/different....

Steven, those MOMO grids are from eBay (seller = Crowderscustomizing). I paid $84, shipping included. I've had the same set on my RSX for 4 years now, and decided to get another set for my new TL. It actually does save the floor mats, from your heels constantly rubbing against them.

Interesting...you say you've got a set. Does that mean 2 or 4 of them?

Looks good brother. Does the passenger side look the same? And do they make rear seat ones too? Crap...I guess I could explore the link you posted-sorry.
#27
The passenger side is a "mirror image" of the driver side. The cutout is on the other side. I don't believe that MOMO makes the rear version of these grids.

Cool..that's perfect. The Ebay picture is exactly what I wanted to see. I didn't know if the passenger side was the same cut as the drivers side. Do you like them? Were they worth it?
#29
I liked them on my RSX so much, that I bought another set, couple of weeks ago for my new TL. To me, they are worth it. One thing I'd like to mention. They screw down to your floor mats with four little (M4) screws, that are very short. I ended up going to the local hardware store and buying little longer screws to make the install easier.

JP, if you do, maybe you can get one made with fuller coverage-even with the ACURA logo on it.

Wow...good question. You might give Rob a call and ask him. Maybe send him a picture of the Momo one.

hey NetDiver, what does the back side of the plate look like? same as the face? maybe one could put the passenger side one on the drivers side and just flip it. voila no MOMO leters. ahhh, i looked at the up close pics i doubt its the same. just holes. not counter sunk like the face. shit!
#37
You are correct, the holes in the back are not sunken, but the finish is pretty close to the front. If you want something plain or with TL theme, why don't you make a template out of cardboard, with the dimensions you want, and take it to some local machine shop. They should be able to cut it for you out of 3mm aluminum stock.

I had one like that. I was nice.
Get's scuffed up with your feet on it, etc., but it looked good and the fit was good.
FWIW, I used 2-part golf club epoxy to affix the badge in the cut-out. The idea was that kind of epoxy softens with moderate heat (like a heatgun) and I could remove the badge. Never needed to do that, but that was the idea. And it held up just fine.
If you use something like JB Weld, it's in there forever and ever.
Post pics on arrival.
