Question Daytime Running Lights

So I just spent the day upgrading my stock HID's to 6000K and replaced the halogen fogs light bulbs with a 6000K HID system. I noticed after the lights were installed that my daytime running lights don't work anymore. I tried to do a search and couldn't come up with anything.

Its not a big deal because I didn't care for them either way..but I was just curious about it...Any ideas??

The new HIDs look amazing! Much better than stock..

Thanks

assuming you have an 04-06 TL, the HID's cannot run on DRL voltage, thats why you have no fogs.

Sorry I should have mentioned that. I have a 07-TL. The foglights work fine and so do the headlights. Its just the DRL that dont seem to work anymore.

Yeah I ran a relay for the fog lights. I just checked the lights on the car and they all seem to be working fine now, including the DRLs.

you'll need a SMART relay (which are more sensitive). and a 15-25ohm resistor (or else they'll never shut off), you can find some nice ones on vleds.com

as for what wires to splice, i have no idea. I had my buddy do my setup, but I'm sure someone here can help out further..

Why would you replace your stock HIDs? they look far superior compared to a regular car. I wouldn't mind replacing my daytime running light bulbs, they look yellowish and cheap but maybe I'll use them for a year more or two just to get the value out of them
