^ Probably not. They're used to this by now. Some of the veteran 3G owners of the past are over there and may be able to give us a different side of the story.
I've got an '04 TL with about 146k miles on it and am in the 4G forums more than I am here to be honest. I'm looking around for a replacement car for when my 3G starts giving me trouble (hasn't happened yet... lol). There are a lot of guys over there that love the 4G. There are some that bought one and decided to sell it for something else (BMW 5, Infiniti M, etc). There are still a bunch of others on the fence and haven't bought or are on the fence and went ahead and bought anyway. You see all kinds of people in that forum. I remember when I first came to this forum when the 3G was released, it seemed to be hopping. I don't think we'll ever see that in the 4G forum - at least not anytime soon. It's kind of dead there.
One thing I will say is this : I hated the 4G when it came out. I hated the grill, I hated the back, etc. I liked the interior. Having seen it a lot now, I actually like the back, don't hate the front that much, although I can't say I like it, and would consider buying it. But ..... I would never love it as much as I loved the 3G when I first laid eyes on it. I remember researching the Infiniti G35 for over a year and was about to buy it when I saw a spyshot from a NY street and I said "oh damn... gotta have it..." and so I bought mine on October 25, 2003. She's been reliable since and I hope to hold onto her for another year or so from the looks of it... maybe the 5G will sway me. Or maybe the next G... we'll see....
