Dated
Dated
Is it just me or is the 04/05 TL beginning to look dated already? Seems like all the other players are stepping up. I sure hope we get a new design or atleast some significant change in 06! Anyone agree?
IMO, the next year's TL"might" have the minor update, but not the significant changes. If you're 04/05 TL'r already, you "prolly" won't like to see the "dramatical" upgrade to TL in next year.
Are you kidding me?? The TL is one of the best looking cars on the road today. Have you seen what some of the newer cars look like, ie..the Ford 500, the GTO, the new Avalon, just to name a few. Just my opinion.
I think the TL is one of the best looking cars out there right now. Against popular opinion I happen to love the new 5 series. The G35 is nothign special (unless you are talking coupe)
But, I think the TL is one of the best.

I sure hope you aren't serious!!!
The TL is by far one of the sexiest, sleek, classy, etc etc, designed cars. No matter what angle you look at it, it's a sweet ride - inside and out. I hope they don't change the design anytime soon. We need to enjoy the current one for as long as we can. Acura's design team worked overtime on this one!
IMHO!

I agree, but we must all keep in mind we are biased towards the TL as most of us own one. You are entitled to your opinion - of course!
But, what do you not like about it? Well - I should phrase that a little different, what part of the car do you think is dated?

TL looks great
Last summer, when I was looking to buy a luxury car. I looked at other cars in the TL league. Lexus, G35, BMW.
The TL had the best mix of performance, features, coolness and styling.
I have to relay a story that happened to me a few weeks ago.
I was parked in a parking lot. A lady came over to me from her Lexus and said, "Your TL is a great looking car and you look very sexy driving it"
I was flattered with the compliment, I couldn't wipe the smile off my face for quite awhile. I also couldn't wait to tell my wife about the experience.
To the person who thinks the TL lacks styling and looks, the industry is coming to us, because the TL is such an attractive and dear I say SEXY car!!

You're probably confusing the fact that the TL is a fairly conservative body compared to some of its competitors (e.g. G35). That's actually one of the reasons why I bought it. I think it has a timeless, somewhat conversative, yet muscular and classy look to it. I doubt I will ever call the look "dated" anytime soon.
The cars that tend to look dated are those that are radically styled. In a few short years, the style goes away and a new one shows up to replace it. Honda and Acura are pretty good at not falling victim to current trends. I've heard phrases like "evolutionary not revolutionary" to describe what Acura/Honda does with its cars. Similar to BMW, Porsche, Corvette, albeit on a slightly different level.
