dash protection
When you guys put dash protection on, like 303 etc..Do you put it on the part of the dash in front of driver area? The non glare different looking part of the dash. Not sure what material that part of the dash is made of. THANKS
I put Vinylex ( made by Lexol ) all over the front dash...side of the doors and front and rear bumpers. I know exactly the part your talking about right above the steering column. I notice a glare during the day that resembles a ( C ) right in the middle of your front window but I got use to it and doesnt bother me anymore.
Yea I Noticed my dash seems like it had faded a bit. It has been really sunny where I live and
I havent applied any protectant on the dash yet cause I am afraid of applying something I am not supposed to. I was thinking of going to Acura and picking up some of there Interior Cleaning Stuff. Does anyone think that would be a good thing? or should i buy something else?
Thanks in advance for any feedback

IMHO, 303 is absolutely the best product. I put this on about 8mos ago and it immediately restored its color, very evenly without a glossy shine. It repels dust and lasts a long time. I do use sparingly on the top of the plastic pieces which transition off of the more rubbery dashboard material.
Acura now sells and promotes a vinyl/leather cleaner that can be purchased at the dealer. SO far it has been very good on all the surfaces of my 05' TL dash. I don't use the product on the alum. surface or clear plastic parts. I bought the cleaner from my local dealer for about $6...........
Are you talking about Lexol? I saw my dealer was selling that.

I, too, had some trepidation in using 303 on the dash. But I did it anyway. I did the whole dash (all the black stuff including the textured area above the instruments). It turned out great; just a hint of shineyness and brought back the black just fine. I think I will apply a second coat in a few days.
I use 303 on the whole dash. If you use is sparingly, and wipe it off, you can get a nice matte finish that blends with both parts of the dashboard. It's great stuff...works well and lasts a long time.
