Darn... driver's mirror has burn marks from defroster
*Long, sad, quavery sigh*
I had noticed some brown marks on my driver's side mirror, but thought it was a smudge. Today I really looked at it and realized that the mirror was actually showing burn marks from the defroster function. The mirror also seems to have a small crack in it too.
We've had our car since October, and it's racked up 5,000 miles. I don't think I have had that defroster button longer than three hours when I drove to MI in a snow storm.
I think the dealer will fix this, you think they can just replace the mirror and not the whole assembly?
Thoughts? Anyone else experience this?

They can replace the glass only, by just removing the old one and pushing on the new one.
Should be covered under warranty, since that is not supposed to happen.
Haven't ever used my heaters for the mirror (here in Florida).
