so i said damn my boys just luv messin with me puttin these blank envelopes of nyc traffic tickets and when i go c check this out... out of the whole lane of cars parked mines was the victim WTF!!!!

Take it to court. Fight it. Tell em your reasoning is cause the plates fell on the passenger seat (meaning it was on the dash) and it fell on the passenger seat, so the "on probation officer" writing tickets didnt see it. Good Luck!

 

tell them you are waiting to get your new license plate bracket, the old one broke off when someone bumped into the front of you car parallel parking.

yeah I got one of those once and I just told them that my plate fell off at the car wash and that I was waiting for a new bumper bracket to replace it. It worked for me in CT

 

No offensive, I HATE when drivers like you blame a policing institution for properly doing their job. Obey the law, and you won't get tickets, or if you do get tickets, don't bitch about it. I get tints tickets and other bs once a month...You knew the consequences so why are you so surprised?

And so you can learn something, TRAFFIC agency has NOTHING to do with the NYPD..so be mad at them not the people who protect you.

Up here you can't even have it on the dash .. it has to be "affixed" to the front of the car ... even the broken bracket excuse didn't work for me .. but up here they won't ticket you parked either .

^just run no front plates all year.. you'l be fine. some people get tickets more often than others

if you have time.. you could actually fight that ticket. the cop said your car is black which it isnt.. you could say "how could the cop even see i had no plate if he cant even tell what color my car is.."

haha i got a ticket for that a couple days ago. i was driving and i see a cop standing in the middle of my lane signalling for me to pull over.. gives me a fix-it-ticket, but i havent had time to get it written off, my plate right now is so low to the ground.

Traffic agents, this is their effen job to annoy and write tickets.
Believe me no officer will stop, get out of his cruiser, write a ticket, leave it on your windshield because you are missing the front plate...unless his sergeant is in the car with him.

Every time I go out to eat with my cop friends, and they see a traffic agent writing tickets...they all stop, and they eagerly await for a ticket to be placed on the car, they all waiting to gang up on the traffic agent, it's amusing.

 

as you can see the agency says traffic dont blame the nypd for your missing front plate! especially when it wasnt even them! it says TRAFFIC

I can't believe some of the comments here. Smashin' their faces in? Burnouts? Honestly guys... grow up. As Tek said: "It's the law".... just obey it. It's not like someone is asking you to jump off a bridge, it's just a freakin' front license plate.

Here in Ontario, it's the law to have front plates. Everyone has them.. you get used to them - and how it looks.

 

True. Many of my friends are PD or CHP. Usually a front plate ticket is a way of getting at you for something else they don't like....if that makes any sense.

Everytime I go somewhere with my friend in the CHP he always has to mention that my front plate fell off again lol.

 

banana dont get me wrong bro....you're right but....the cops are pricks man....in NY they are a bunch of c**ksuckers..... in ontario i havent seen many cops busting chops and ive been here for 2 months. so i cant say anything other than....50kph faster than the limit and your car gets crushed? thats just f*ckin wrong man....lol "street racing" what if i just gotta get somewhere fast? lol but then again the traffic sucks here 401 is being rebuilt so things move slower than normal.

 

Well.. I am actually one of the people that agree with the 50km or over rule. We've had too many numnuts flying up and down the 400, 401, or DVP lately killing people. It's a deterrant. All you have to do is go less than 50km over the limit. in the last year we had

- Two idiots kill a truck driver by racing down the 400 and running him off the road

- Two kids tbone a taxi cab driver racing their daddy's mercedes at 140km/hr up Avenue road (which is a 60km/hr zone)

- 3 people dead in cottage country from speeding down a country road at high speeds in an Audi S4, hitting another car and going into a swamp.

- a few more in the Toronto area that I can't recall right now.

People like to slam the 50 over rule, but where does it end? Where should the law draw the line? 70, 80, 100 over? even at that people would complain.

Don't get me wrong, I've been guilty of flying on the 407 at 160 - 170km/hr at times, but i've toned that down. it's not worth getting my car crushed.

I dunno, maybe i'm just the minority, but I have the utmost respect for the law. If I break it, I have to pay the piper.

oh and ya.. 401 traffic is HORRID... If I have to go to my office in Mississauga, I take the 407..

Why would anyone want to live in NYC? The only people who should live there are hippies who don't drive. I'm not saying that to troll, I honestly feel that way. I've only been there a few times and each time driving was a horrible experience.

 

Just because you can't handle the traffic, or like Blazin, who thinks everyone is out there to get him... NYC is a very cool place... It's either you belong here, or you don't.

I've been harassed lovely by cops and narcs...it's their paycheck, I guess you can't comprehend that a city of 9 million people needs a stricter law enforcement. Move to the suburbs..you'll be fine there.

 

cops are like that in VA also. they got me the same way except they pulled me over while i was driving my car. i asked the officer what what was i doing wrong and he said im simply pulling you over because you don't have a front license plate. in my mind im like this has got to be the dumbest sh*t you can pull someone over for when you got people running red lights and hitting 110mph on the interstate. give me a break...
